The powder of monkey bread, is extracted from the fruit of the baobab, the millenary tree that characterizes the landscapes of sub-Saharan Africa. Especially rich, monkey bread contains six times more vitamin C than an orange, twice as much calcium as milk, and a significant amount of phosphorus and iron, not counting antioxidants.
Characteristics
It is the source of many micronutrients and antioxidants.
By measuring the antioxidant scores by the ORAC measure of several fruits, the pulp of Baobab is 4 times more powerful than a kiwi, 10 times more than an orange, 15 times more than an apple.
A treasure of vitamins
Vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B6 and PP, minerals (calcium, phosphorus, and to a lesser extent, iron, potassium, zinc), amino acids (especially L-proline and histidine) plus 11 essential amino acids
Because of its balanced content of hydrophilic (vitamin C, flavonoids) and lipophilic (beta-carotene) antioxidants, the pulp of baobab fruit is a true global antioxidant. It protects free radicals attacks all cellular structures.
Two precious amino acids for the joints
L-proline
It is one of the essential components of some collagen fibers, and in the form of hydroxyproline articular cartilages.
It is not considered an essential amino acid because our body knows how to synthesize it. But, with age (sometimes before 40 years), our body does not produce enough, so collagen fibers and cartilage gradually deteriorate. Subcutaneous tissues distend, osteoarthritis appears and spreads.
The histidine
Histidine participates in the structure of many protein molecules: carnosine, histamine ... It is involved in the process of fixing certain minerals:
iron for blood hemoglobin and muscle myoglobin, zinc for collagenase. Indispensable at the articular and bone level. It participates in most energy
transfer reactions in the heart of cells, contributes to the regulation of blood pH ...
