The standard HSUPA (High Speed ​​Uplink Packet Access) is an update of the WCDMA / UMTS / HSDPA. It provides enhancements like HSDPA connections to upward flow and allows for data rates of loading (upload) of up to 5.8 Mbps.

HSUPA is considered the successor of HSDPA which provides very high data rates but only on the flow downstream (download).

The HSUPA should be standardized by the 3GPP in UMTS Release 6 specification .. HSUPA technology will allow interactivity "peer-to-peer": the user can for example send an MPEG-4 video of 60 seconds (24 frames per second, 600 x 400 resolution television type) in just 16 seconds! but also VoIP!
